A Chat With A Student

True Story

He brought food to my house just now. He is a very talented baker/chef/creator. He used to run several café all round our beautiful island.

He had a café in Singapore Expo where we frequently held our events. I love his coffee.

He thought we were crazy people… so simple, invest in Singapore properties and can get rich meh ? where got so easy one. He made fun of us. He looked down on us.

Then one day he attended. He left the course a different person. In a few months, he swiftly closed all the café outlets. And using simple methods, he bought several properties for passive income.

And he become free again. Got passive income. No job. No café to run.

Since COVID, he found a new passion. He bakes cakes every day. And will deliver the cakes to us. He also cook for us.

We are so blessed. Blessings side effects is inflated tummy.

I told Jill I am going to pay Carl $10K to whip me back in shape. Jill said no need, round is also shape.

This morning, the student left me a note after leaving food at my gate … “Dear Sifu, if only I had believe its that simple earlier, I wont be putting myself thru unnecessary stress of running café. Love CG”

Morale : many of us, including myself, were brought up to be impressed with people who can solve complicated problems. For eg, The guys who can solve A math problems are smart. The guys who cannot are so-so . I am the so-so category. And so I travelled around the world, paid lots of $$ on courses, and learnt from many guru to be rich and free. The really rich ones taught simple methods. The fake teachers use the sun-moon-venus method or other ppl’s notes, or thick make-up with cleverly engineered innerwear to distract and confuse you (??).

If we ever have a chance to be in a seminar room and share our methods again, you will be like most of the past students …. Teacher so simple meh? Are you sure you got teach me everything ? And to that, my reply will be “ did your mom give you a manual on how to walk when you were a toddler”?
