No Relatives Come To Borrow Money
Many years ago, Jill and I sold a couple of properties and made some good $$. We then used a small part of the profits to buy a sports car.
Before buying the car, we had lots of debate.
The debate we have had with our internal voices took a long time. We almost gave up.
Do you want to know what is the mental struggle (aka debate) about?
I have shared this with many people, and they told me they had the same struggles too.
Read below and this article may help your breakthrough!
1. Jealous people will scratch your car if it is too nice … Nope it did not happen. In fact the opposite happened! this car was getting lesser dents (made by other car doors opening) than our other cars for daily commuting.
2. Relatives will think we are rich and come borrowing money …. Nope, that did not happen too. And no, my relatives are not rich.
3. Bad people will kidnap our kids … Lucky that did not happen. In fact, after buying our first sports car, we realize that a lot of people around us have sports cars. Our eyes were polished (Teacher Dr. Patrick Liew explained its R.A.S) and we were like … who put that into our brains? Let’s flush it away.
4. People will gossip that we show-off … I used to care about that until my Mentor told me to ignore those remarks and enjoy my time on earth the way I want it. He explained that those people are merely speaking out their own fears and until they overcome that, they will never get the experience of driving a sports car…. So? Ignore them!
In actual facts, good things happened…. Do you want to know?
1. We sailed right into many condos without the security guards asking for passes.
2. Free parking in hotels as their guards moved the barriers one side for us to slide our car into the lots facing the main entrance.
3. Kids in the neighbourhood pointed at our cars excitingly and we waved at them. They waved back happily….. happiness is spontaneously created. Same thing happened in traffic lights.
4. During those long working hours, I would drive home around 10:00pm with open top (convertible) , and reached home feeling rejuvenated.
5. When visiting show-flats, we were told to park inside the compound while other cars were told to park in the public car-parks nearby.
6. This one is the strangest of all … on the expressway, other cars will keep a distance from me and it was easier to overtake and changed lane. I thought I was imagining this until other new owners of Porsche in our community experienced that too.
7. People “seem” to talk to me in a more polite tone…. This one needs verification… could be my imaginations.
So, guys, live life to the fullest. Work for money until you have enough to make money work for you. .
Most of you already reached that stage without realising it. You need a good coach to point that out to you.
Plenty of you can reach that stage sooner than you thought with the right guidance.
Money is meaningless sitting in the banks.
Money is meant to be spent. Convert money into good energy, into good experiences, into good memories, for good purposes. That is the difference between Wealthy vs Rich. That is the difference between “Living A Life” and “Being Alive”.
Go ahead, buy your sports car. Own it. Drive it. Live it. And see the lives you can influence with this car, just like an expensive watch, customized suit, pens, shoes, bags, jewelry … etc.
Money must be spent, so one can appreciate LIFE.
Focusing on zero in the banks, leads to a life of zeros.
And no, life doe does not have to be hard now to be sweet later. That’s a big pile of dog shit. Flush it.
Go ahead, make a comment below. I sure want to hear from you.
Let’s live a great life!
