I have been asked this question by many people in many ways all the time.
The questions are like this …
Ah…..I want to learn but the fees too expensive … (when we were charging $50 some years ago)
Ah …. I want to learn but my job kept me busy …
Ah….. I want to travel with you all overseas to learn but I have not enough money …
And then hor …..I want to do this but its not within my budget ley ….
And so on, and so forth…
I can write a book on “Thousand Excuses” …. May be a great book to write on my next long flight to USA.
For the past few years, together with my kakis, we traveled far and wide to attend courses by industry leaders, staying in nice hotels, flying in style, sometimes by chartered bus (incredibly fun with kakis).
We have been to Malaysia, Batam, Thailand, Europe…. All to attend courses to learn, unlearn and relearn.
All without touching a single cent from my savings accounts.
In many ways I get to fulfill my dreams of studying overseas when I was in my teens (but family money not enough).
In many ways, I am even a “Presidents’ Scholar”. Why do I say that? Because the CEO/President of the companies who are renting the properties from me, pay me rental and I used the extra money from the rents to pay for my studies and travels.
Do you think this is a good way?
Life as a landlord can be pretty boring with all that spare time and financial freedom.
