Money is Just an Idea

Many people ask me, how to be rich.

I told them, “Money is just an IDEA”.

Very often, I get a puzzled look on their face.

Allow me to elaborate.

Many people go to work. Their idea to make money is to go to work. When they have not enough money, they work harder. So their idea of making money is go to work.

But, what did the company owners do differently ?

They have an idea how to solve a problem. So they started the company to provide solutions to the problems. That is their idea. When you go to work for them, you are helping them to implement their ideas.

Let me give you another example.

You have not enough money. One way is to learn to make money while you are working, like a small part time job you can have using your smart phone. The most common idea then is E-commerce. So you seek out experts like Andrew Tan.

Andrew Tan has many ideas. He has implemented many of them, some successful, some did not work out. Its normal.

In his class, he will give you ideas. And these ideas are already proven to make money.

As long as you implement his ideas by following his steps, you will get similar results.

The best coaches in town are people who can give you ideas. Ideas that jolt me out of my seat, my comfort zone.

Once upon a time, my idea to become an entrepreneur selling robots for manufacturing consumer goods. The idea made some money but I lost it all, as I did not have idea how to ride the 1996 Global Financial Crisis.

Many years later, I started a retail business using my own ideas. I lost all the money in another crisis, SARS. I have no idea how to ride SARS

Now I am riding Covid. It did not affect me as much as all the previous crisis. In fact, in many ways I am better off.

I am able to invest in income-generating business.

I bought few properties 25% below market value.

I bought and sold few dream cars.

I just help a tenant breathe better with his outstanding debts.

I am starting three different businesses with good friends who are experts (experts mean many ideas) in their field. They do the business, I find the money to start and sustain the business.

Money is just an idea.
