Conversation With Ah Huay

*** MONEY IS BLOOD ***

I was in the coffee-shop this morning and Ah Huay spotted me.

She was a member in my tribe since 2017. Been missing for a while.

I have heard from friends that she did very well as she had stopped her florist business and now spent most of her time investing in properties for passive income.

Here is a short conversation …

Ah Huay : Hi Marko, how are you ? I miss you all.

Me : Ya lor, Covid means cannot gather in our club house. I miss all of you too. Tell me, how are you doing ?

Ah Huay : you know hor, many friends know I now become 包租婆 ( landlady) and ask to borrow money from me.

Me : Good what. Money is for us to do many things, including helping people in need.

Ah Huay : Aiya, you dunno….. these are blood suckers…. They are not good people. When they want money, they call you every day. After borrowing, they become ninja (meaning they disappear into thin air).

Ah Huay continued : So please teach me Marko, how to deal with people like that ?

Me : Easy. As I taught in class, Money is just an idea right ?

Ah Huay looking at me eyes big big and nodded her head.

Me : But do you know that Idea is a result of Thinking. And Thinking needs to use Brains?. And Brains need to use Blood?

Ah Huay looking at me blur : Teacher, lu gong si mi (what talking you )?

Me : All our organs need blood mah. So IDEA comes from BRAINS and BRAINS need BLOOD.

Ah Huay : Orrrrr, I understand now.

Me : So tell me Ah Huay, will you give your blood to people who do not appreciate it ?

Ah Huay : I don’t want hor. I not stupid one.

Me : So, my thinking is this. Money comes from Idea. Idea comes from Brain. Brain needs Blood. So Money equal Blood. Got it ?

Ah Huay smiled and replies : Yes got it.

Me asked : So will you stop giving your Blood to those people?

Ah Huay : Yes, sir, I understand. I will never do so again. I used to think I was petty by not giving them money. I now know I am wrong.

I nodded and smiled.

Ah Huay : Thank you Marko.

She turned and disappeared into the crowd. Like a ninja.
