Let Property Price Drops Further Before Investing ???

While waiting for my dental appointment outside the clinic, I was checking out car accessories for my Maserati.

I looked up and saw my old neighbourhood friend, Ah Song walked pass me with her husband Ah Seng.

We are both same class in primary school. Her hair was nicely colored. She looked OK, except a little tired.

Both of them know I have been buying properties to collect rentals.

They have been reading my posts on FB and commented once a while.

We chatted a bit and knowing that they were still in the same flat since the 1990s, I explained to them, how I moved from a SMALL FLAT to BIGGER FLAT to EXEC CONDO to LANDED PROPERTY . . . .

They were both amazed. Ah Song’s eyes popped, lean forward and listen attentively. Her man, Ah Seng remained quiet.

Ah Song asked, “so should I buy now?” Before I answered, Ah Seng said, “now price so high, how to buy, don’t ask silly question. Wait till prices drop, then we buy… is that correct Ah Marko? “

I was about to open my mouth and he continued.

I politely smile and let him continue.

He said, “Our money so little, and if we sell our flat now, not enough to buy condo. So hor, its better to wait HDB price goes up, Condo price comes down, then we buy lor”.

I was thinking… hey that is a good strategy … HDB price goes up, condo price drops, then enter market… wow. …. hmmm

I know then, this is gonna be a one-person’s Q&A when the other parties are wiser to stay muted or in my case, should I go check sgcarmart for secondhand rims for my Maserati?

She continued, talked, asked questions, answered them, talked again. This went on for a good 15 mins.

My name was called to enter the tooth workshop aka clinic. I signaled to the nurse , turned to them and said bye bye. Ah Seng happily waved bye bye, gave me thumbs up (is that him telling me I was good? or was he wishing me good luck?) while Ah Song rolled her eyes.

I was a little puzzled by the encounters and did not know what to make of it. Events do not happen by accidents or coincidence. There is always a purpose.

What can we do to sell the HDB higher price and buy Condo when the price dropped?

While sitting on the chair to be drilled, polished and wax, I found the answer.
