What did you do over the weekend?
I paid to attend an online class by Property Experts.
They are Mohd Ismail, Kelvin Fong, Alfred Chia and Eddie Lim.
About ten years ago, they (exclude Eddie Lim) conducted Property Investing Classes. And I attended their classes.
I also bought properties with them and made some money.
And last week, ten years later, I took the chance to learn from them again.
This time, they have new info, new concepts, new tips.
What amazes me is this the basics/fundamentals never changed.
I would like to sum up the Fundamentals here for those who did not attend this weekend program:
- Enter the market as soon as possible.
- If money is the problem, get a small property.
- Take bank loans.
- Rent out the property fast.
- Let time perform its magic … meaning years later, the property will be fully paid for.
There are so many speakers and teachers sharing info in the market.
What makes these speakers different?
- They have years of experience helping ppl solve their problems.
- They are investors themselves with real track records.
- The lessons they shared come from their personal experiences.
- After ten years, their strategies have evolved.
I have been investing in properties for more than 20 years. I have multiple streams of income that allows me the pleasure to do what I like ….. till God calls me home.
Mohd Ismail is 57. I am 55. His portfolio is much larger than mine. He is in property 24/7 since a young adult. I have lots of respect for him. He deserves all that success.
The same goes for Kelvin Fong and Alfred Chia. People with big hearts.
I respect people like them, whenever they speak in public, I would make it a point to turn up and listen. And every time, I will learn something that makes me a better investor.
Singapore market needs Speakers like them. The world economy is changing, if a family depends on a job (active income) to feed them, then it can be very scary for that family as jobs disappear and skills get outdated very fast these days.
The key to security (food and shelter) is no longer “one job” but multiple streams of income.
If you are still unsure whether property-investing is for you or not, I hope you do not wait longer. The best time to start is NOW. Go find a good Teacher and apply as much as you learn from him/her.
That’s my message for this morning. I am going to bring my pet out for a walk in the nice park nearby.
Love, Marko
