His Journey Was Tough, And He Made It
Robin attended our class last year. He is in his 40’s.
He has just stopped his business and felt like a failure.
He came to the class, walking with his head low and shoulders curved forward.
I noticed participants like that in class, because in my mid 40’s, I was drowning in mid-life crisis.
I could relate to him.
Robin was very focused in class, asking questions, challenging my theory.
Several times, when being questioned by me, he would break into tears.
I know from experience that those three days we spent together, will have a huge impact in his life.
I have seen many like him. And I know how to help them find a way out of the forest in their heads.
After the class ends, he turned up for almost all the events, including bus tours.
He would take notes and bit by bit, he formed his own investment plans.
He shared his plans with me and I was very impressed with his in-depth calculations and estimations.
It was a very safe plan that I would carry out with my own money.
Within a short time, he sold his HDB flat at market high… something many housing professionals say “not possible”.
Next step, using the communication techniques taught in class, he confirmed the deal at nearly $600K below market value… that was so shocking… he created a market low. Again, something that housing professionals will say impossible.

Robin would be able to take out a chunk of this “built-in profits aka $600K” to grow his business.
The residential property which he just collected the keys, would give him almost $8K pocket money a month, as his CPF will pay for the monthly installments for the next few years and even more, if he and/or his wife continue working.
With this massive passive income, he is probably going to use a small portion of it to buy his favorite Mercedes car, an older version, which costs less …. after all, what is purpose of life, other than to enjoy life ? We are not made for non-stop daily grinding.
This property has a very high likelihood of being en-bloc in the near future according my research on the vicinity and my teacher who is a very well-known investor too. If this happens, Robin would easily make about a million dollars by then (upside plus loans pay-down combined).
Robin took almost one year to negotiation for this property. Seller was at first very adamant about his prices until Covid-19 affected the seller ‘s position. Robin has been keeping in close contact with the Housing Agent and the first person the Agent called is Robin when the Seller lowers his offer.
Without a moment hesitation, Robin issued a cheque and brought home the deal.
This is exactly what we taught in class ! Robin treats agents with utmost respect and did not burn bridges.
I am super proud of Robin. With his life experiences and successes, he can easily be our next generation teachers, to help more people in the coming years.
I am so happy for Robin and family. I am sure their relationships with money is not completely different. I am sure their daughter, Faith will be happy to witness the changes too.
